Just outside my doorway, a white flowering quince is budding out. I have had that plant for many years through several house moves. It sat in front of our Red Cape for a few years.
Weather in the 70's and even 80's has me painting flowers, some home grown and some purchased. If it is this warm now what will we suffer in July?!!
10 x 8 inches, oil on canvas panel "White Tulips"
Today I am painting from some very disappointing white roses, instead of opening the poor things are turning brown just two days from the store! I will try to paint a freshness they never really achieved. e
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe hat stands painting is an amazing design and so well done from the positioning of the stands, the coloring, the other items depicted, and richness of it's "feelings". A worthy painting! Unfortunately I do not have the budget for this but whoever does purchase this will have a true treasure!

Thank you Karen!
ReplyDeleteYour paintings are lovely! Now that I'm retired I wonder if I should add painting to my long list of things that I want to learn. I was wondering if you could tell me where there is a source for patterns for doll clothing? I'm especially interested in tiny (8 inches) clothing patterns. I even have a doll that's only 3 1/2 inches. Do you have any that are this small?
ReplyDeleteSomewhere on this blog, is an explanation for making tube dresses, a good way to dress very small dolls. This is how I sew for my 8 inch ones. Search under tube dress and see if you find it. I just now used the search at the top of the home page and it did come up for me.
ReplyDeleteIf you are interested, by all means paint some, it is a joy, with more to discover every day! e
